Garam Masala Mix, Ready For Crushing
- Garam Masala is a mixture of spices heavily used as a basis in Indian cooking.
- The mix consists of Coriander seeds, Cumin, Cinnamon sticks, Peppercorns, Whole Cloves, Whole Cardamom, Star Anise and Whole Bay Leaves.
- By keeping the mixture whole, the inner oils and aromas are kept fresh for much longer than ready ground.
- Prior to use, grind or crush in a pestle & mortar and gently heat in a pan.
This garam masala mix is really excellent, and one that we ourselves use regularly. It consists of coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks (though we think that they are really cassia sticks), whole pepper, whole cloves, whole cardamom, whole star anise and whole bay leaves. These ingredients make this blend a very traditional garam masala.
Ingredients: Cumin, Coriander, Pepper, Cassia, Cardamom, Clove, Bay Leaves, Star Anise.
